Adaptation and Modification Program

The Adaptation and Modification (A&M) Program is run by Responsive Solutions, Inc and Dane County Human Services. The goal of the program is to adapt and modify home environments – that ensure health and safety and allow for greater independence and continued participation in community life.

A&M supports Dane County families and their children receiving services through  Wisconsin’s Children’s Long-Term Support (CLTS) Waiver Program.  https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/clts/index.htm

Projects often focus on making homes more accessible and safer for children with behavioral health needs. A&M staff perform the work personally when possible, and utilize the services of outside contractors, family members or other care givers when necessary. A&M staff try to use pre-existing products when possible and always strive to blend any modifications into the current environment.

A&M also offers home safety assessments and consultation services for Dane County residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities receiving services through the IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct) program.

If you have questions, or would like to request A&M services, please contact the RSI A&M Coordinator.
